About Me

My photo
I am from Central Pa, I don't really do anything for a living yet. I just graduated from college, so I am still on the job hunt. I am blogging about everything from movies to fruits. Some will be funny, some will not be. Either way I hope that you read and enjoy, and also share your opinions with me on things that I share mine, honestly I think the best way to learn things and diversify yourself is through exchange of ideals and what better way to interact than on a blog!!!

Off to work...

I love the smell of the morning. I love it more when there are egg whites and turkey bacon cooking. Also you can't beat organic coffee. Yes, a health freak. I know what you're thinking. These good habits will all fizzle out by the weekend, it's a guarentee.

So what's hot this morning?

Well it is snowing in El Paso, TX. It is not snowing in NE PA. That is a bit odd. Maybe global warming is for real?! A hockey player knocked out his own player last night. It was pretty sweet. Our economy may have single handedly been boosted by "Cyber Monday." Apparently there were some huge, huge numbers put out yesterday, I think something like 4 million shoppers/minute at one point. Students also had an attack on redheads, apparently playing out a joke on "ginger kids" as seen on South Park. That's just not right. Also the former Miss Argentina died after plastic surgery.

The things you learn from early morning news. Well it's off to work 9:30-4 today.

Be thankful for what you have. A lot of people don't have anything right now. If you are reading this, try to take the time to do your part and help children and families have food on the table. WWW.HUNGERBITES.ORG for more details, and you can donate at your local food bank. Please do your part.

And I'll leave you with this video for this morning, if this doesn't put you in the mood to dominate, nothing will:

I'll be home for Christmas (Not!)

Ah,

The sweet smell of candy canes, sweaty men, and snow. The holidays are here. I can just say that the holidays are hell when you work at Best Buy. Black Friday was god awful. Sure, everyone wants to work and make money. But, no one wants to put up with all of the assholes that come in and annoy you with pointless questions, and belittle you because they feel they are better than you. It's just awful.

I will stop talking about that. I am actually quitting my job. I had no Thanksgiving holiday, that was pleasant. No family fights, no unbuckling of the pants due to the massive intake of turkey, stuffing, and potatoes.

New addictions: Shopping on Amazon.com. Popcorn. The Big Bang Theory.
Well that is really all of them. I guess I don't have much time to myself anymore, kind of disappointing. Oh well, we will see if I can somehow manage to get in to the spirit of the holidays. That is not going to happen, but I vow to make an honest effort. I really want to see what all of this magic is about. The magic of the season. Hmmmmm...

I will let everyone know the "Tyler Pearson 25 days of Christmas" story. I will update it on my blog. We will see if a Scrooge can really be turned.

Annnnd I'm Back...

Hello there,

I regret to inform you that my pathetic life has picked up. I finally have a job that I LOVE, and things seem to picking up for me. I haven't really had any bizarre ocurrances happen to me lately, so this is probably going to be a really boring blog. I, however, promise to keep up with this more and more each day. I have a lot of television to catch up on, thank god for TIVO. TiVo is great. It knows who I am better than I do. Yeah I have my normal shows that I miss and have to keep up with, but then it gives me badass movies and stuff out of nowhere. It is the most pleasant surprise in the world to see that TiVo keeps me in mind even with it's busy schedule. I don't think I will ever need a wife as long as I have my TiVo. If only it could cook...which could be possible someday.

Lets see what else is new? That's about it I guess. Oh in breaking news Miley Cyrus deleted twitter. It's really a shame, because now that's one less celebrity I can stalk. However, this brings 50 year old men and 10 year old girls together in a cause to get her back...#mileycomeback is now the number one trending topic.

There are so many good movies out there that I want to see...I want to see Michael Moore's new movie "Capitalism" and I am on a quest to go see "Paranormal Activity." Also I would like to see "Whip It." I guess I will be found in the movie theatre on my next day off...

Also does anyone like the Jay Leno Show? I think it's okay but it's basically the same as the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Idk...I guess I have to warm up...

That's all for now...take care

And remember...in a dog eat dog world, its a good thing we aren't dogs...

Hopes, Dreams...Superheroes

It's been a while since I have posted a blog, I feel like a part of me is missing, not really but still. I have now started out 2-0 in my fantasy football league. That is my best start ever. Thank god. I feel like a piece of me is missing. I have to start paying school loans back in November. I have to go on a spending freeze. It's really quite annoying. This weekend is my last hoorah (or however you spell it). I am going to the Penn State vs. Iowa game on saturday night, it will be on ESPN everyone should watch, it's our "revenge" game from them beating us in the final minute and handing us our only loss last season. It will definitely be nice to see my old college buddies and be morons.

I realized now that I have no hopes or dreams at the moment. Other than wanting to be a superhero. I was watching Batman the other night, yes immature I know, but how sweet would it be to be him. He is not afraid of anyone, he just kicks ass and keeps Gotham safe. Plus he has sweet gadgets. It is just a shame that the only way I'll ever be Batman is on Halloween. And even then it is hard because most costume's are child sized, and it is hard to get a children's costume on a 6'4 person. Oh well...I guess until the opportunity to become a superhero and fight crime the vigilante way in Central PA, I should do some soul searching. I don't know what I want to do with my life...maybe I want to become a journalist or something. I don't know. Maybe I'll write a movie? We will see what happens. Until I blog again...peace

I don't really have a title for this one...

Hello All,

So I have not really been busy, but I have not really been bored. I haven't written one of these in a while, but I really have nothing to write. Isn't it funny how the universe works? It seems like there are so many inverses in life. I am tired, but I can't sleep. I'm hungry, but I don't know what to eat. I want to watch tv, but there's nothing I want to watch on. It's bizarre. I know, I am clearly a weirdo for reading into things like this. I guess I overthink too many things. But then there are times when I don't think at all. Inverse.

Okay enough with the philosophical bull. Here's my life, I have been on this diet for a long time, I have slowly lost 40 pounds. I think I am undernourished though, my legs just don't want to work and I am dieing of soreness. This means I need to eat a lot more I think to have necessary energy for the day. I am not a nutritionist by any means, but here's the strategy eat some more food (good food, not junk) and workout a little bit more even if its a slight increase. Simple strategy enough whining. Either way I am happy with where I am at. It is a great feeling to wake up and appreciate everyday, and to not feel like a piece of crap. I have a lot more confidence and that too is a great feeling.

I am so excited for football season! Penn State kicks off this weekend. Should be a blowout win for us, but you never know. That's the beauty of football!!! Then the NFL season kicks off. That is what I am really excited for. Fantasy Football!!! My league had it's draft and I think everything went pretty smoothly!! I am okay with my team, not really thrilled, but okay with it. I think I'll make the playoffs.

Alright so that's my rant. I apologize for the lack of comedic relief from your strenuous days at work and parenting and whatnot. I promise when my brain is not overworked and undernourished I will make you fall off your chairs laughing. That actually will not happen at all, but hey if I make one person fall over laughing just once in my lifetime, that's another thing off the old bucket list. Tah Tah for now people, and remember if you wake up, it's always a good day!

Food Poisoning?

Hello,

To all of my faithful readers, which I am sure is like all of 2 people, I am back to the grind of writing down pointless rants on the internet machine. I had a good vacation I must say, my mind needed a break from all of this thinking. In all actuality, I just was too lazy to blog yesterday. So anyways here it is a Friday night. Young kids are out on the town. Teenagers are most likely at the movies enjoying a popcorn and trying to get some from their boyfriend/girlfriend. Other teenagers are smoking up in a station wagon in a Wal-Mart parking lot in an aimless attempt to see how long they can loiter by the door. College students are out drinking, raising hell, and trying to hook up. Older people are filling the bars with empty bottles, terrible conversations, and smoke filled entrances. But, the real question is where am I?

I am at home. It is a Friday night, at 8:23 p.m. and I am ready for bed. Why? Well A.) I have no money to go to the bar and try to hook up with someone, or get drunk and embarass myself (whichever comes first) B. I am recovering from my alcohol binge and trying not to drink at all C. I think I got food poisoning from a slice of meatball pizza. That's right folks, meatball pizza. I thought that I would be a smartass and go to a pizza shop and order a slice of something no one else would order. I know that people get whole pies of meatball pizza, but not by the slice. So yes, I made it a hassle for the cooks. It was a tasty, juicy, delicious slice of meatball pizza. It was like an Italian explosion in my mouth (and I mean that in the LEAST sexual way possible). I loved every bite of that meatball pizza. Now a few hours later, I am feeling the aftermath. My stomach feels like it has been stabbed 75 times, and then shot up with a machine gun. I am tired and a little dizzy and I assure you I did not just chug a bottle of Jack Daniel's. This is the worst feeling ever. I am pretty sure I have food poisoning, what a bummer. Oh well, I guess on the brighter side of things...more blogs while I recover?

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday night doing whatever it may be that you are doing. Until next time:

Mac 'N Cheese without the Cheese...is simply Macaroni.

Technology and Beautiful Days

Today is such a nice day. The air is not hot and sticky, and its not overly hot. It is like perfect weather, to me at least. But what have I done today? Well let's see, I made my morning coffee trip, and got a bagel. Then I came home and worked on some settings for my fantasy football league. Then I made a Ustream video for my league. What does all this rambling pertain to you might ask. Well I guess the point I am getting at is that technology has really taken the front seat in the world. There are people out there who would kill for nice days all the time, and here I am wasting it by recording videos and blogging. I mean granted other than golfing, I'm not really an outdoors person, but still what a waste. I could have accomplished a lot today. Digitally I have accomplished a ton, but in terms of real life, my productivity is at an all time minimum. So my question is, has technology overtaken our lives? Is something that is meant to make our lives easier, replacing living life to its fullest? In some cases I feel like it has altered my ways, and made me waste a lot more time living. Technological advances have taken over so much of my life that I cannot imagine not having them around.

I don't know these are just random thoughts. I often think about how my life would be without a blackberry, macbook, and ipod. The problem is I CAN'T picture it without them. This leads me to wonder what it will be like in 20 years. Will I even have to get out of bed? Or will some robot go do all my errands and work for me? Just a little fuel for thought for the day...

Critters and Blackberrys

So I awoke today, at a very late afternoon hour, and I get a call from my beloved sister. She is having quite the crisis up in Wilson, NY. She apparently has a critter stuck in her gutters and has no idea what to do about it. Me, I have no idea either, I am certainly not handy by any means. So I did what any modern day adult with no skills whatsoever would do: I googled "how to get a critter unstuck from your gutter." The search provided me with nothing. I think I am going to figure out the process and put a guide up on the internet for all of you non handy people to guide you through critter removal. What do you even do in that situation?

Also, I am pleased to announce that I am back in the cellular world. My new blackberry has finally arrived, and I couldn't be happier. You don't really realize how much you need a cell phone in your life until it is gone. I guess the old adage, "you don't know what you've got til it's gone" is actually true about my cellular life. I guess the moral of this story is that I am back to being connected and extremely pumped about it! :-) That's all I have for now. It's back to the fantasy football drawing board, Sunday night at 7 p.m. is our draft and it is gonna be intense.

Any critter removal suggestions for my sister?

Its the most wonderful time of the year!

Ahhhh yes, the air is becoming more crisp, and the daylight is getting shorter. Yes that's right everyone, it is almost fall. Fall = One thing to me and most other men on this planet...FOOTBALL SEASON!

Yes that's right, offenses and defenses, children and adults are in training camps and scrimmages preparing for grid iron glory. I too have been training for grid iron glory, much like many other unathletic people whose dreams of becoming a professional star and football hall of famer have been dashed by their lack of football skill and pure athleticism. I am preparing mentally for the most competitive and grueling sixteen week season of the year: the fantasy football season.

Fantasy football gives you the power to be a multimillion dollar general manager, minus the money. Fantasy football allows you to be the coach setting your lineups for the best possible matchup against your competition. This is no joke. This is what I do for a living. I feel that being unemployed has given me a strong advantage this year. Having no grasp of reality really allows me to enter myself into a fantasy world.

Our fantasy football draft is on Sunday. It will be a test of on the spot thinking, as well as planning ahead to make the best selections for the upcoming season. One wasted pick could ruin all hopes of a championship. What am I doing to prepare? I have purchased almost every guide you can, and I have made myself a draft board. I have thought out every draft scenario you could encounter, and selected my top 5 picks for each round. I am not messing around this year. Granted these picks could become meaningless if the players do not live up to their expectations, or get hurt. We will just have to see how it goes.

That being said it's back to the draft board for this general manager. Does anyone out there have any good tips?

Things that I have recently encountered that I approve of

This is just a little blog. I like to keep up on the newest things that can possibly entertain me. So here is just a brief list of things that I enjoyed and strongly recommend you at least check out:

Third Eye Blind's new album "Ursa Major" Ursa Major is the new, and very anticipated album from the band who brought us such timeless songs as "Jumper" and "Semi-Charmed Kind of Life" I just heard the album and I have to say it is fantastic.

In the movie department, I just saw "500 Days of Summer" and I have to say it was really, really good. The acting was great, the story told behind it was amazing, and it had a very indie feel to it. Also, there is a good underlying motive in it, that if you watch you will know, but it really makes you think.

MacBook Pro: All of you PC's out there, you are obviously entitled to your opinion and to use whatever technologies suit you, and make your life easier. However, to those thinking about switching from PC to Mac, I just made the switch. Yes, it is an expensive switch, but one for me that I feel was worth every cent of it. I just got a MacBook Pro 15 inch, and it is like my baby. It runs so smoothly, and is not as hard to use as I thought it was. I feel like I have endless possibilities with this computer, and I also feel secure about it lasting me an incredibly long time. Definitely look into a MBpro if your in the market and aren't afraid to invest!

That's all for now, because to be quite honest I don't feel like typing anymore, but I really hope you check out these 3 things. Feel free to provide me your feedback as well!

Things not to say at the little league world series...

So, this is the first installment of my "blog." I feel like I should be doing more productive things in my life than this, but at the same time, I really have nothing else to do. I am a recent college graduate from Penn State University (GO LIONS!), and I am currently unemployed. I don't feel that this is because of my lack of commitment to the books, I just feel that this economic downturn (to put it lightly) has legitimately crippled the nation's employment rate, but then again that's obvious.

So here I am learning to like the area I am living in. That area is Williamsport, Pa. It is not really famous for much. There is not really much to do here. But every August there is one famous event that takes place in this Central Pennsylvania Town. An event so epic that it causes complete pandemonium. This event is fantastic, and features the best young talent in baseball. That of course is the Little League World Series.

Now we all know of Comic-con, and the Porn Convention in Vegas, but I like to think of the LLWS as free admission to the "National Sex Offenders Convention" or the NSOC as I am going to call it. All joking aside, and forgetting the fact that I lost my Blackberry on a bus, I am going to provide a David Letterman Style Top 10 list of things NOT to say or do while attending the Little League World Series (Some of which I actually heard last night).

The number 10 thing NOT to say or do at the LLWS:
I'll give you the candy if you stop screaming and sit on my lap like a good boy.

The number 9 thing NOT to say or do at the LLWS:
You just put the hot dog in your mouth and enjoy it.

The number 8 thing not to say or do at the LLWS:
Get into an argument with one of the Little League Fathers (We all know the type, not a good crowd to mess with, they are right up there with bikers)

The number 7 thing not to say or do at the LLWS:
If your 45 years old, introduce yourself to a member of a team and tell them to Facebook you

The number 6 thing not to say or do at the LLWS
Cheer as if a player is your son or you know them personally when they are not even from the same country

The number 5 thing not to say or do at the LLWS:
Lie about your age

The number 4 thing not to say or do at the LLWS:
Tell a child you have a bigger bat they can use

The number 3 thing not to say or do at the LLWS
Stand in the middle of the crowd with your hand down your pants trying to get your underwear to stop riding up

The number 2 thing not to say or do at the LLWS:
Round 2nd base with a player

And the number 1 thing not to say or do at the LLWS:
"Okay, okay, I promise I'll stop tickling you now!"

Okay, so yeah some of them lack the luster of a David Letterman Top 10, but still these are not things you should do at the LLWS even if they aren't funny to you. I realize some of them are extremely inappropriate, but that's why you SHOULDN'T do them. I'm sure I'll take some grief for posting this list, and I have to say I don't blame you. It's just weird when you go to this event, (and it really is a great event, I would strongly recommend going there to support these young kids, they really are great athletes at their age and put on a great show of baseball skills), and you overhear weird things thinking that this is like the mecca for petaphelia. I don't know though, that's just me I overthink things way too much. I have lived here for quite some time and I have never been to the LLWS, and after going last night I really do regret it. It is a great thing to see people from all over the world in one place to support the future of athletics, and it is overwhelming to know that such a huge event is right in my backyard basically. So like I said, if you ever get the chance to attend, you should go. It is phenomenal to see great quality baseball, and all different styles from different cultures, come together to claim the crown of world champions of little league.

Thank you for reading, I'll try to blog a lot since I have no life! Hopefully you got a good chuckle, and will consider at least watching the Little League World Series on TV!!
